In a recent ‘Interview’ cover story, the “We Found Love” diva shared details about the evolution of her relationship with A$AP Rocky.

For A$AP Rocky and Rihanna, friendship came before romance.

The 36-year-old “We Found Love” star said in a new Interview cover story that she had known A$AP for years prior to their formal partnership.

When the artists worked together on a remix of Rihanna’s 2012 song “Cockiness (Love It)” and performed the song at the MTV Video Music Awards, that’s how the musicians first got together. The next year, they costarred in A$AP’s “Fashion Killa” music video. Although they didn’t begin dating until late 2019, they had a close relationship.

“We had similar views on fashion. We both saw creativity. We found ourselves frequently in the same circles “said Rihanna. “After that, as we grew older, we found ourselves constantly supporting each other’s businesses, artistic endeavors, and goods. He would show up to my launches, and I would wear his s—.”

 

 

Before pursuing a romantic relationship, the two were able to learn more about each other’s dating strategies by spending time together. “I’ve observed him in partnerships. He has witnessed my relationships. We’ve seen each other apart from romantic partnerships,” Rihanna remarked.

We were aware of our potential for problems and the disruption we could cause to one another’s lives. It is up to us to win or lose each other’s hearts. We so began dating very cautiously,” she continued.
