Sydney Warner and Fred Warner are now lawful parents.

A representative for the couple exclusively informs PEOPLE that the linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers and the alum of The Bachelor, both 28, welcomed their first child together on Thursday, March 7 in San Jose, California. The name of the infant is Beau Anthony.

The expectant parents delivered their child via cesarean section subsequent to verifying that their child was positioned in the breech position.The surgical procedure on Sydney was successful. “He is in good health!” the couple exclaims to PEOPLE. “We’re over the moon and can’t wait to get home from the hospital and start our new life.”

The new mother foreshadowed the birth of her son Beau over the weekend by posting her final bump photos, which were taken in the hospital prior to his arrival.

“Last bump pic before our lives change forever 🫶🏽🥹👶🏽, she captioned the set of photos, shared on Instagram.

Sydney told PEOPLE last month that she was relishing the last moments of her pregnancy and was eager to give birth to her son alongside her spouse.

“I eagerly anticipate that special one-on-one moment when Fred and I can spend the last four weeks of our lives anticipating his return to earth. Because of this, we are savoring every moment of that time because it is not something that will ever occur again. We have resolved to never again become first-time parents. “It is both thrilling and a delightful time.”

“We’re really excited to take advantage of these of the quieter moments, once all this craziness is done and over with,” according to her.

Sydney is also anticipating the upcoming season, during which she will accompany her spouse and their infant son while supporting him on.

“The NFL is filled with children, including infants and mothers, but I have never had the opportunity to be a part of that group.” And it is indeed an extraordinary place to be at this moment. Having these memories alone is certainly awe-inspiring, but having them while expectant or with children is truly unique. “I cannot wait to begin contributing to the NFL mama crew.”

Fred and Sydney, who met on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor in 2020, exchanged vows in June 2022 at a modest chapel in Vista, California, in the company of their loved ones. The engagement took place in May 2021.

In October, the couple made their first-ever pregnancy announcement by sharing video from one of their ultrasound appointments.

“Within the last few months, we have been blessed with some of the most invaluable moments of our existence. Each new development and weekly milestone has been indescribable…”The best is yet to come!” they wrote in the joint Instagram post, which also disclosed that their child would be born in March 2024.

The couple began the year by announcing the arrival of their son through a cake slicing that displayed blue frosting.

“It is a boy… Baby Warner!” they penned. “We love this little boy more than he can imagine!”
