Brittany Matthews is revisiting the most memorable moments from her wedding day with Patrick Mahomes. Thursday, Matthews, 26, who wed the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, who is also 26 years old, uploaded a heartfelt photo carousel from the nuptials.

One photograph depicts the honeymooners kissing, while another captures them laughing and engaging in a game of rock, paper, scissors at their reception. An image depicts the couple engaging in what appears to be a ceremonial greeting on their wedding day, and the sequence concludes with close-ups of them dancing passionately. “10 Years with my Boo!” The images were captioned by Matthews. “Time to start over and start Celebrating our Marriage, oh & also our Rock Paper Scissors record 💖 Love you the most✨.” When he uploaded the image to his Instagram Story, Mahomes boasted about his rock, paper, scissors abilities and added two heart emoticons to his comment.

“I remain 1-0,” he composed in writing. The couple, who started dating during their teenage years, exchanged vows in Maui on March 12th. The floral arrangements were coordinated by their 1-year-old daughter, Sterling Skye.

Jackson Mahomes, the younger sibling of Patrick Mahomes, was the matrimonial best man, while Travis Kelce, a teammate of Mahomes’ on the Kansas City Chiefs, served as a groomsman. According to TMZ, Kelce’s fiancée Kayla Nicole was also one of Matthews’ bridesmaids. On Sept. 1, 2020, which was also his now-wife’s 25th birthday, the football player proposed. The couple declared their pregnancy later that month, accompanied by the phrase “taking a brief detour to the wedding.” The NFL athlete and fitness trainer welcomed Sterling the following February. Mahomes disclosed to PEOPLE in July that he intended to invite Sterling to the wedding of him and Matthews.

“She’ll be, I think, a little over a year old by the time the wedding happens … so hopefully she’ll be able to be the flower girl and be able to be walking by then and do all that cool stuff,” he stated at the time. “But she’ll be a part of the wedding no matter what.” “There is much to do in terms of wedding preparations, but we’ve been doing an excellent job thus far,” he continued.
