Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the NFL, remarked that his and Brittany Mahomes’ 2-year-old daughter Sterling is already following in their athletic footsteps: “Watching her mature has been incredible.”
The athletic prowess that Patrick and Brittany Mahomes possess has already been transferred to their children. Indeed, the couple’s 2-year-old daughter Sterling is an emerging athlete, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs disclosed exclusively to Francesca Amiker of E! News.
“I didn’t even have to prepare her,” remarked Patrick, who along with Brittany, a former professional soccer player, co-owns the NWSL’s Kanas City Currents. “Although we never officially instructed her in the sport, she began literally kicking soccer objects into the goal after attending Kansas City Current games with us and observing other players participate in soccer matches. We never instructed her in the art of kicking or playing. “That is simply her nature.”
What about Bronze, her 7-month-old sibling? “We are making progress,” Patrick clarified. “I mean, he is still young enough that we are attempting to teach him to crawl. Thus, we are observing his progress; however, I believe that what matters most is that they pursue their individual aspirations.
However, that does not mean the NFL icon does not wish for his children to become future MVPs. “I want them to participate in sports, of course,” he stated. “Both Brittany and I participated in athletics as children. I believe that there are numerous lessons to be learned from participating in sports of all types.
Furthermore, in order to provide an optimal environment for his children’s academic achievements, Patrick ensures that his residence is filled with an assortment of sporting apparatus. “I will ensure that I have everything on hand that pertains to golf,” said the 27-year-old, who has collaborated with Walmart to curate shoppable trolleys. “Sterling’s swinging the golf clubs, so we make sure to get the the toy clubs from Walmart.” Patrick, who is an avid golfer when not playing football, said of his daughter, “It’s been incredible to watch her develop and attempt to imitate some of my moves. “I make every effort to swing the golf club around her in an effort to eventually be able to bring her along on the course with me.”
