Snoop Dogg’s kid followed in his father’s footsteps and became a professional model, making an appearance at Cordell Broadus

Like his father Snoop Dogg, Cordell Broadus is a big man (6’3″) who has made a smooth transition from the renowned Dogg Pound to the world of international menswear runways.

Though he was raised on Dogg Pound music, Cordell has turned his attention away from the music business and toward the fascinating realm of fashion. He was excited for more after making his runway debut in June for the Dolce & Gabbana me𝚗’s spring/summer 2018 collection.

When asked about his interest in fashion and film, Cordell shared, “My father always took us to the movies when we were children, inspiring my pursuit of a career in film direction.

I can express myself creatively and freely via fashion, and I want to encourage younger kids to feel comfortable with self-expression. As a driven businesswoman, I want to pursue my interests in fashion and movies. Even though I lean toward a masculine aesthetic, I like to add vivid colors and an unconventional air of confidence to my look.

Reflecting on his transition from football to fashion, Cordell revealed that he initially played football in high school but felt the need for a more imaginative and intellectually stimulating endeavor. A twist of fate occurred when ESPN contacted his family to feature them in a show just as he contemplated quitting football.

By the time the show aired, his team had won the championship, and the world knew him as a football player. Despite this recognition, Cordell chose to attend UCLA’s summer football training program over USC to pursue an education in film, redirecting his true aspirations toward cinema and fashion.

Currently serving as the Creative Director for the Joyrich brand, Cordell is immersed in the brand’s spirit and vitality. Collaborating with the brand’s owner, he is working on a line inspired by his father. The first set of merchandise pays homage to the hip-hop styles of Los Angeles and Snoop from the early 1990s, showcasing Cordell’s commitment to leaving his mark in the ever-evolving world of fashion.
