Unveiling the captivating Velar 70 Motor Yacht Concept, Valerio Rivellini

Valerio Rivellini, a designer of superyachts, has unveiled the Velar 70, a motor yacht concept measuring 21.5 metres.

The Velar 70 has a “minimal and functional design” with “generous exteriors” and sailing yacht characteristics, such as a large, round tiller.

Depending on the owner’s request, the hull and superstructure can be constructed from a variety of materials, including fibreglass, carbon fibre, steel, and aluminium.

The yacht was characterised by Rivellini as a “leisurely, inexpensive displacement cruising solution.”

“Velar 70 is ideal for those who enjoy experiencing the sea in a variety of ways, from cocktails on deck to quiet moments,” he said.

Eight guests are accommodated in four cabins, including a VIP cabin forward, an owner’s suite with a living area, and two double guest cabins. All are “spacious and comfortable,” according to Rivellini, and suitable for extended periods on board.

Two Volvo Penta IPS 650 engines will provide the maximum speed of 16 miles.
