The Feadship Young Designer of the Year Award 2024 went to Indonesian designer Pradipta Hakim for his yacht design concept ‘Blueminance’.

This year’s Young Designer of the Year contestants were asked to use their imagination with pencils and keyboards. First, they had to develop a model for a youthful superyacht owner in the near future that would stand out on a builder’s yacht show exhibit. To challenge their imagination, participants were challenged to imagine themselves as this young owner and design a yacht they would want.

 

The job was to design the yacht’s exterior and sketch three renderings—two digitally and one by hand. They also had to sketch a basic layout plan, a high-quality deck, and an interior design proposal for a chosen location.
