In May 2021, Italian superyacht designer Nauta Design unveiled the hybrid 54m yacht concept 54m Wide. After completing basic engineering for a naval architecture by Francesco Rogantin’s Studio Names, we reveal five key architectural characteristics to anticipate.

Mario Pedol, co-founder of Nauta Design in Milan, says the Nauta 54m Wide was inspired by clients who wanted plenty of space to accommodate a family but not a yacht too big to moor in St Tropez or intimate bays in the Balearics. Instead of focusing on length, we broadened the beam to 11 meters and created a novel configuration.

Thus, the 54m Wide can accommodate 16 people in eight en-suite staterooms. The yacht’s low-slung external lines give it a basic look and make her look graceful on the water despite her considerable volume for her length.
