NFL BFFs Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce ‘Can’t Even Put Into Words’ Their Love for Each Other

“He’s just the life of the party,” quarterback Patrick Mahomes says of Kelce, about whom the Super Bowl-winning Chiefs are inseparable off the field.

On October 10, following a narrow victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, tight end Travis Kelce’s post-game interview was abruptly terminated by Patrick Mahomes, a familiar visage to Kelce and the Chiefs. “I absolutely adore this individual right here, baby!” exclaimed the quarterback as he rushed over to Kelce and embraced him. “This my dawg!”

Since the latter was selected in the Chiefs’ first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Kelce, 33, and Mahomes, 27, have been close friends and teammates. The open demonstration of affection was routine for the two individuals.

Their friendship is so profound that even Mahomes’ spouse Brittany mocked it by tweeting an interview footage and stating that she was “becoming envious of this affection.” Kelce was a groomsman at Mahomes and Brittany, his high school sweetheart,’s March wedding in Hawaii. Additionally, Brittany was accompanied by Kelce’s then-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, who served as one of Brittany’s bridesmaids.

Kelce is the center of the party, according to Mahomes. “He ensures that each individual feels as though they are the most significant being on the planet. “He possesses that innate ability to genuinely embrace and love everyone.”

The tandem has achieved success not only in football but also in other domains: in 2019, they celebrated their Super Bowl victory. Additionally, in April, they jointly won the 8AM Golf Invitational before returning to the links in July for the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament.

Kelce exclaims, “I literally cannot put into words” the influence Mahomes has had on him, and is astounded by “how much effort we put forth together and how much fun we have.” Kelce considers it invaluable to be able to extend that affinity to the field.

“To go put our entire goals, dreams, aspirations out there and bleed for every single person on this team,” according to him, “is a fun experience.”
