Travis Kelce’s brother Jason to retire after Hall of Fame career, Eagles legend told team members he plans to retire later Monday’s loss to Tampa Bay in the playoffs

On Monday night, the Philadelphia Eagles suffered a greater loss than their aspirations for the NFL championship.

Reportedly, the team has parted ways with Jason Kelce, a six-time All-Pro and probable future Hall of Famer, following a dismal campaign in which the team faltered following an impressive start.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on social media that Kelce informed teammates in the locker room that he would be retiring following the 32-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The reports were verified early Tuesday morning by the Associated Press, the Athletic, and additional outlets.

Monday night, an emotional Kelce exited the locker room without addressing the media.

With his retirement, Kelce will conclude an illustrious career. His performance on the field improved consistently during his tenure with the Birds.

Additionally, his presence was felt off the field.

Kelce, according to the Eagles’ organization, contributed “substantial time and resources throughout the years to the Eagles Autism Foundation.”

Additionally, Kelce and his brother Travis topped the Billboard charts with their single “Fairytale of Philadelphia” during the previous holiday season.

Kelce’s fervent address at the Philadelphia Museum of Art subsequent to the Birds’ inaugural Super Bowl triumph in 2018 will be indelibly etched in the memories of every Eagles fan.

In furtherance of Kelce’s tenure in the City of Brotherly Love, he presents an encore of that magnificent speech and the equally magnificent mummers’ costume.

Congratulations from the NBC10 staff on an outstanding career, and many gratitude for the cherished memories, Jason.
