NBA All-Star 2024 round 2 voting results: Giannis and LeBron continue to lead

Giannis Antetokounmpo is temporarily leading LeBron James with the highest number of votes for NBA All-Star 2024 from fans.
Another week has passed in the process of collecting votes for NBA All-Star 2024 from fans, some changes have appeared in the lower group. Particularly, the top names remain the same in both East and West.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James are the two stars with the most votes in the East and West respectively, closing the NBA’s second fanvote round.

Similar to the results of the first round, “Dem God” and “King James” are far ahead of the pursuing players. Antetokounmpo leads the entire NBA with 3.4 million votes, while LeBron James has more than 3 million votes.

Right behind Giannis in the Eastern frontcourt group is reigning MVP Joel Embiid, owner of 2.975 million votes.

Boston Celtics star duo Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown ranked third and fifth, sandwiched between fourth place Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat.

In the Eastern defender group, Tyrese Haliburton is injured but still leads with more than 2 million votes from fans.

Behind the PG of Indiana Pacers are Trae Young and Damian Lillard, in which Trae Young has just surpassed his seniors to climb to second place in the defender group.

On the Western side of the NBA, LeBron James is closely followed by two big stars, who are also two players who won the Finals MVP title – Nikola Jokic and Kevin Durant.

Ranked fourth and fifth in the Western frontcourt group are Anthony Davis and Kawhi Leonard, players whose contract has just been extended by the LA Clippers for more than 150 million USD.

Moving on to the Western defenders group, Luka Doncic and Stephen Curry lead with more than 2 million votes each. Young superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ranked third, temporarily ahead of seniors James Harden and Kyrie Irving.

 

The next announcement of NBA All-Star voting results from fans will take place on January 19 (next Friday). Voting will then close on January 20.

Votes from fans will account for 50% of the total score. The remainder is divided equally with 25% of the votes coming from the media committee appointed by the NBA and 25% coming from nearly 400 players competing in the tournament.

The 2024 NBA All-Star Game starting lineup including 5 Eastern players and 5 Western players will be announced on Friday, January 26.
