Young Artist Zild from Rock Band IV of Spades Takes Center Stage at Charity Concert for Church Construction

Zild does not fit the archetype of the self-absorbed youth musician. To begin with, he has been diligently applying the counsel provided by his father, Franklin Benitez, a former percussionist for the Hungry Young Poets and Barbie’s Cradle.

“Prioritize the people in your life over fame,” his father advised Zild.

“Welcome Home,” a benefit show taking place at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay on November 25, at 6 p.m., will feature, among other acts, Daddy’s Home, Gigi de Lana & the Gigi Vibes, Juris, Kenaniah, Chen, and Musicians on Fire. Father and son are among the performers.

Father and son are both members of the Church for Christ the Living God Fellowship (CLGF), which will be constructed with the funds raised at this event.

Zild discusses his musical origins, his influences, and the “universal feeling” of abhorring Mondays in this online conversation.

The revenue generated from the benefit performance ‘Welcome Home’ will be donated towards the construction of a congregation for Christ the Living God Fellowship, an organization that both Franklin Benitez and Zild attended.
