This week at the Super Bowl, Isiah Pacheco and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates were honored, capping off a wild year for the former Rutgers football running back.
Pacheco, along with the rest of the Chiefs, concluded the Super Bowl festivities at the White House this week. President Joe Biden hosted the gathering. Pacheco, who was selected in the seventh round of the NFL draft from Rutgers last year, had an outstanding rookie campaign, accumulating over 1,000 yards on the ground (including the postseason). By midseason, he had merited the starting running back position.
In the second quarter of the Super Bowl, he achieved a touchdown on grass.
The White House uploaded a video of Pacheco discussing his visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue this week.
Pacheco’s statement late last week that he would trade jersey numbers with DeAndre Hopkins if the Chiefs signed the unrestricted NFL wide receiver caused a stir. However, the cost of the Jersey number remains unknown.
